Women’s Medium: to fit foot circumference: 8-9 inches / 20-22.5 cm
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Leg circumference: approx. 8 inches / 20 cm, unstretched
MATERIALS
- 100g fingering weight sock yarn in a solid or semi-solid color
- 1 set of 5 US #1/2.25 mm double-pointed needles, or
- 1 set of 5 US #2/2.75 mm double-pointed needles
- Tapestry needle
GAUGE
32 sts/44 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm in stockinette stitch or
28 sts/40 rows = 4 inches/ 10 cm in stockinette stitch, depending on yarn and needles chosen
NOTE
Some test knitters preferred 64 sts on US#1/2.25mm needles and others preferred 60 sts on US#2/2.75mm needles. Some worked the leg on US#2’s over 60 sts and the foot on US#1’s over 64 sts.
