I stopped into Eddie’s Quilting Bee the other day to check it out, since I had been walking past on my way to the library all summer, looking at the “Coming Soon” sign…

I might have walked away with a pattern (and some fabric)…

or two (and some more fabric)…

The exterior of the downtown purse…

In preparation for the CA Wool & Fiber Festival, I dyed a bunch of fiber, which I’ll be posting about and adding to the store sometime soon. I also dyed some linen yarn, and designed a pattern for it. The yarn is called Fiber Fiend Linen and the pattern is called the Practice Stole Hand Towel! The towel is knit like a stole, starting with one edging, then picking up stitches for the body, then finishing with the second edging. It’s perfect for someone who isn’t quite ready to knit a stole, but wants to practice knitting some lace. It’s also a great gift. In order to make a stole, you could just widen and lengthen the towel.

Here it is in its native environment…

Hanging on a chair…

A detail…

Here are some pictures of the Roberts Creek colorway used in the sample Practice Stole Hand Towel.

And here is the Stormy Weather colorway.

I started crocheting this bag on the Bobaknit Retreat, teaching myself how to crochet, before I started Grover… I stopped when I ran out of yarn, although I had another ball at home. The yarn is Cascade Bollicine Revolution in the S20 colorway. My sister gave me this yarn a while back. It’s what I knit my palm pilot cover out of.

The pattern is from Stitch ‘N Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker. I bought circular bamboo handles for it.
