After the knitting craziness two weeks ago, I have tendonitis in both wrists and a ganglion cyst on my right wrist tendon. It’s not good. That’s actually why I haven’t been blogging either — it hurts to type. So, I’m going to be slow in catching you up to what’s been going on in my knitting world.
First I’ll show you how the rest of the Cala Lillies turned out for Hannah’s boquet… here’s one before felting…
And here’s one after felting…
And here’s the whole boquet!

I’ve been too busy knitting to blog! And I don’t have any knitting pictures for you today.
BUT, look at this! It’s my dad with my parents’ dog in her new life vest!
Now they can take her out on their boat worry-free. Tell me you didn’t get a kick out of this picture. Happy Thursday!

Yes, that really is what the cake says.
Hannah‘s getting married next weekend! Somehow, she and I came up with the idea of having a bunch of knitters get together to knit her a boquet of Cala Lillies. Don’t ask me how. She was knitting a Cala Lily last weekend. I wanted to throw her some kind of little party before she goes off to Vegas to get hitched. Happy Flower Knitting was born (actually, that phrase came later, courtesy of Kristi).
We knit.
We had cake (obviously).
Anabel brought boba! Which made Hannah very happy.
All in all, 10 knitters showed up, so Hannah should have 10 Cala Lillies in her boquet, because Pauline, who couldn’t make it, knitted a flower while Abigail, who’s allergic to wool, knit a garter out of silk that Kristi spun.
Abigail might have gotten frustrated a few times…. Thanks Cindy for taking lots of pictures with my camera!
The Happy Flower Knitters! (Including Jeni, Freecia, and Lisa, not linked to elsewhere in this post, and Cindy’s daughter Ari, who I don’t think blogs…)
Kristi and I might have had a bit of fun wielding our limp Calas…
Here are the 5 I felted last night drying in the sun… (not everyone finished their flowers… yet.)
And here’s a close-up of my little flower…
All in all, a Happy Flower Knitting Day!

I just converted my free patterns into pdfs, so if you visit the pages for the Thumbhole Mittens and Concentric Squares Baby Blanket, you can download pdf versions of the patterns.
Enjoy!

In blog post titles, at least!
Last Sunday, Cookie & Kristi came over to dye some of Kristi’s fiber. It’s still drying in my garage… I dyed yarn. Yarn dries much faster!
Now available in the store: superwash merino sock yarn in the Mars,
Reeds,
and Swamp colorways!
Here’s your gratuitous dog picture of the day: Siena, the ultimate couch potato!
And here’s a preview of the future!
What’s in the store now is the last of the thicker sock weight yarn I will be selling. In the future, I’ll be switching to Louet Gems as a base yarn. Above is my trial dye job!
And below is some 5% cashmere 95% merino yarn from Yarn Place — this is the same fiber content as the roving I dyed earlier in April. I likely won’t be carrying this laceweight in the future, but I will be carrying some kind of laceweight starting in a few months…

Hannah and I went wedding dress shopping on Saturday. We found her a dress, and she decided she wants a pink sash to go with it, so we went to Jo-Ann’s to pick up some pink fabric to sew one. She also picked up this:
An 11 oz. GIANT ball of yarn to knit my baby blanket pattern for her friend’s baby.
She brought it back to my house, where it met Mojo.
They were instant friends. So were Hannah and Mojo.
R was home, wishing he was still biking the Mt. Hamilton Challenge… but after his wheel turned into this:

He had to be driven home…
